Chef Andy Suarez

Andy Suarez is a Chicago-based private chef with a passion for good food, entertaining, and teaching. From a young age he learned the special relationship between friends and food, modeled by his Mexican parents and their ability to welcome anyone into their home with a traditional meal. This, along with his experience in sales and customer service, sparked a desire to connect further with people around the world in the language we all know best: food.

Andy took these values and invested in his education, ultimately graduating with his Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Management/Arts. He would go on to work in some of Chicago’s highest rated restaurants with titles including Traveling Chef, Culinary Instructor, Nutrition Content Creator, Private Chef, Culinary Director, Menu Developer, Yacht Chef, Line Cook, Restaurant Chef, Menu Developer, Caterer and Food Stylist, but something was missing. Chef decided it was time to pursue his own business fueled by his inspiration and ideas.

Building up over 12 years of experience in teaching adult and kids cooking classes, Chef Andy became well known for his fun, down to earth, and interactive style. Offering both in person and virtual classes, he shares secrets of the trade and techniques from international cuisines. In addition to private cooking classes, Chef Andy provides Corporate Team Building Events, Private Dinners and Fine Dining, and Small Event Catering to the Chicago area.

“Cooking food from the first step until the last one is very fun to see how things are made. I am super excited to teach and inspire the next generation of creative Cooks and Chefs. My values behind my teaching is that I want people to understand food in the way that it connects us all. Food and teaching allow me to create a fun but very informative environment where people can allow cooking to be an art expression regardless of age or level. I welcome any level to attend my cooking classes and learn what it takes to be a chef or to become passionate about cooking.  Everyone learns differently so I make sure I can give everyone individual attention and feedback. But most importantly I want my students to join my classes to have fun and learn skills they will always remember from a trained professional chef.” - Chef Andy
